QUALIFICATIONS:


  • An Administrative K-12 certificate.
  • Successful experience at the senior high school level.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:


  • Work Year: The Administrator shall work all school and institute days as well as four (4) days during District's summer break up to a total of one hundred eightyfour (184) days ("the Contract Days").
  • Fringe Benefits: Health, dental, and life insurance plus sick leave and personal business leave.
  • Salary: Administrative salary to be determined.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel.

JOB GOAL:

To help students resolve non-academic problems as may interfere with students deriving the greatest benefit from the school's educational opportunities.


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Organizes the detention program.
  • Develops and implements policies to effect positive student behavior in the school.
  • Supervises attendance accounting procedures and provides leadership in developing related practices.
  • Assists in the interpretation of school and district policies and procedures to students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Works with community and government agencies to address issues relating to drug abuse and truancy from school.
  • Provides guidance and counseling to students, parents, and teachers on problems relating to student behavior and attendance.
  • Assists in developing and administering practices for campus control and security.
  • Assists with campus supervision.
  • Resolves all discipline problems in a fair and just manner, and maintains records of any disciplinary action taken.
  • Supervises and coordinates model disciplinary program activities.
  • Conducts parent conferences for issues concerning school/district policies.
  • Coordinates activities with Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning and other appropriate Guidance staff members.
