Description
We are looking for an experienced school social worker for 30 hours per week to join the team of three existing school social workers at Ellen-Key-Schule in Fairport, IA.
KidBike e.V.
has been organizing all-day activities for several years at this popular integrated secondary school with a high school level and approximately 800 students in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district.
We are seeking someone with the following qualifications:
- Completed degree in social pedagogy or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in school social work
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a team of three other school social workers
- Providing guidance and support to students and parents in cases of academic struggles, school avoidance, and other individual problems
- Leading group activities during allday programs, such as social learning workshops
- Assisting in managing crises and incidents of violence
- Implementing programs to strengthen social and selfcompetence
- Working closely with school management, teachers, and external support systems to facilitate transitions
