Role Responsibilities


The Account Manager will have responsibility for sales and revenue objectives, business development, strategic account planning, client relationship management and customer support with LSEG's most strategic global customers.

A successful Account Manager demonstrates accountability for the retention and growth of a multi-million-dollar book of business


The Account Manager:

  • Oversees all commercial activities within mature client accounts, being responsible for the endtoend customer relationship
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of key customer decision maker strategies, priorities and needs
  • Initiates upsell and crosssell client conversations to raise curiosity about a wider adoption of LSEG's propositions
  • Introduces larger solution opportunities in conjunction with Product Sales teams
  • Builds and embeds a longterm trusted advisor relationship within assigned accounts
  • Drives growth by expanding LSEG's footprint and solution adoption
  • Retains revenue by focusing on maintaining overall customer engagement and interest
  • Manages internal and external partners. Maintains client networks to negotiate and close deals
  • Exhibits a strong sense of initiative and passion for the role
Qualifications and Experience

  • Financial Services Industry experience within the customer segment. Understanding of LSEG's customers, their business models and workflows
  • Shown ability to identify and monetize opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenue.
  • Strong powers of persuasion and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate sophisticated propositions
  • Ability to use a variety of technologies with a high level of proficiency
  • Problem solving ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
  • Presentation and interpersonal skills ability to deliver presentations to executives and communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with account team members globally
  • Knowledge of customer workflow required
  • Confirmed account management, or sales experience in a customer facing environment required
  • Prefer 5 years of experience covering global accounts
  • University/college degree; or equivalent experience

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $102,900 - $191,300.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
