THE POSITION:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
- As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform a variety of clerical tasks within strict timeframes in support of our mission to provide immediate safety and protection for at risk children in our community. This includes interacting with agency staff, various government offices, and professionals, as well as receptionist duties maintaining and distributing supplies and forms, logging drug test kits, and dispensing tokens, gift cards, and Septa passes. You will also operate our phone switchboard, handle room reservations, and take meeting minutes.
Your work will involve maintaining case material through typing, proofreading, copying, scanning, and filing, as well as monitoring and providing routine maintenance for our fax machine and other office equipment.
You may also have the opportunity to provide clerical coverage in other office sites, if needed to maintain effective office functions for our agency's mission.

- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday
- Friday, with a 30minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade;
or: - Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course;
or: - Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
