- Analyze complex systems and recommend solutions for precision assemblies
- Interpret engineering drawings and provide recommendations
- Mentor junior engineers
- Develop design concepts and criteria for research and development
- Monitor project milestones and schedules
- Identify and solve program issues
- Drive process improvement
- Conduct analysis and translate customer requirements into specifications
- Present findings to stakeholders
- Research and develop mechanical products and systems
- Apply research to mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Experience in CAD modeling and design of mechanical components
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Technical leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain base access
- Experience with aerospace systems
- Experience with Air Force customers and industry standards
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience in mechanical overhaul and maintenance
- Knowledge of thermal and structural analysis
- Experience in aircraft maintenance programs
