QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Two (2) years of experience in trades work with various disciplines of construction.

Licenses or Certifications

  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.

_ Key Responsibilities_

  • Performs semiskilled to skilled carpentry work such as building framing and trimming.
  • Performs semiskilled to skilled plumbing work such as repairing lavatory facilities, toilets, faucets, urinals, minor water leaks, etc.
  • Performs semiskilled to skilled mechanical work such as installing sinks, pumps, garbage disposals, filters, screens, bulbs, etc.
  • Performs semiskilled to skilled construction work such as hanging and finishing drywall, masonry tasks, minor welding and roof repair.
  • Performs semiskilled electrical work in instances of minor repair.
