The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as a Construction Mechanic (m/f/d) for Regional Maintenance at DB InfraGO AG in Cologne, starting on September 1st, 2024.

The vocational school is also located in Cologne.

During your apprenticeship, you will learn:

  • Basics of metalworking, such as turning, drilling, milling, and grinding
  • Understanding and selecting materials
  • Manufacturing of components and workpieces according to technical specifications
  • Commissioning and maintenance of equipment (e.g. bridges)
  • Workplace safety and environmental protection

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) your education
  • You have good knowledge of math and enjoy working with numbers
  • You are interested in technology and metal processing
  • You have manual dexterity and spatial imagination
  • You are a dedicated, careful, and reliable worker
