Description

We are 50Hertz - one of the four transmission network operators (TNOs) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity network operator Elia (Brussels), we form the internationally active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 1,800 people work to ensure that electricity flows reliably, with minimal losses and optimal control over long distances. As a TNO, we play a central moderating role in the realization of the energy transition in social, technical, and economic terms. Our goal: By 2032, we aim to integrate 100 percent renewable energy safely into the grid and system.
