Description
The Landestheater Coburg, with its main stage located at Schlossplatz, employs around 240 staff as the city's theater company. The Reithalle, with a studio stage and 99 seats, is the second venue of the Landestheater. Approximately 120,000 spectators attend the approximately 500 performances each year. The Landestheater covers the three genres of opera, drama, and ballet. Starting in the 2023/24 season, the Landestheater Coburg will be represented by a board of directors.

This season also marks the beginning of performances at the Globe, the new interim venue for the Landestheater Coburg during the renovation of the main stage.


We are looking for a theater educator / director of the Young Landestheater Coburg (m/f/d) starting on September 1, 2023.


Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization and supervision of theater education programs for all genres
  • Leadership of two performance clubs
  • Networking and consultation with educators and interested parties for the Young LTC programs
  • Public relations for the productions of the Young LTC
  • Editorial involvement or responsibility for educational materials, other print products, and the website
  • Coordination and implementation of mobile theater formats for young audiences
  • Design and organization of accompanying events such as matinees, training sessions, or previews for teachers
  • Artistic direction and supervision of the school theater meeting "Meeting for Young Theater"
