The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative, technical knowledge, and direction as listed.

This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.

This position serves as Design Area Lead on assigned projects and performs 3D layout with moderate to difficult complexity design scope.

- Prepare 3D layouts and/or schematics for conceptual and detailed designs of advanced complexity

  • Conduct reviews of model using 3D review platform and create 3D models of advanced complexity
  • Check work done by other Designers
  • Develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, and key quantities tracking reports
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependant) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years of workrelated experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twentytwo (22) years if nondegreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to check vendor packages & design deliverables and direct/monitor work share office activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a timeconscious and timeeffective manner
  • Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
  • Practical field experience

Other Job Requirements

  • Develop home office effort hour estimates, material and drawing estimates, project standards
and procedures

  • Review, check or audit of control systems design activities
  • Check or audit of wiring and loop diagrams
  • Check or audit control systems 3D models and drawings
  • Develop and check control systems area and unit location plan drawings
  • Perform and or check design calculations (e.g., wire sizing, conduit fill, voltage drop, junction
box or panel sizing)

  • Perform instrument material takeoff
  • Create and check assignment of instrument installation details
  • Perform control systems design reviews
  • Perform field surveys
  • Advanced knowledge of:
  • Hexagon Smart Instrumentation software
  • HexagonSmart Review software
  • 3D modeling software (Hexagon Smart 3D, etc.)
  • Fluor design guides, control systems technical practices and control systems design
drawings

  • Control systems representation on drawings and knowledge of 2D Computer Aided
Design (CAD) and 3D systems and procedures

  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation; has the ability to
recognize/resolve problems associated with control systems representation on P&ID

  • Instrumentation and control systems design in a 3D model

Salary Range

  • 107,000 to 198,000
