Full-time School Aide/Caregiver Needed

Loving family in Laguna Niguel is looking for a long term full-time Caregiver to care for their disabled 5 year old child.

The perfect Caregiver will be loving and patient and will help the child during their school day (M-F 9-2) at a special small private school in Laguna Niguel for disabled children.

The Caregiver will meet the child at school at 9am and then drive the child home after school and care for the child at home until 3pm.

The child has cerebrial palsy from a birth injury and is in a wheel chair. They will need help performing tasks at this special school, incuding physical therapy, they get while at school.

The teacher and PT's at school are very hands on and the staff and family will provide full training for this unique position.

The child is non verbal, but is starting to learn how to communicate through technology. The child is in diapers and will need to be changed, so lifting and caring the child is involved.

However, there will always be assistance for you anytime you need to lift the child (who only weighs 35 lbs).

The child also has a feeding tube, and training will be provided for that as well.

After school and on days when school is out, you will care for the child at their home, whiles engaging with games, exercise and going on walks to explore the outdoors.

Someone with Caregiving experience is a plus, but not required.

A Nanny who has past experience caring for a disabled child would be a great fit as well Mainly looking for an attentive, caring and passionate individual that love on this child and can become part of this family.

The position starts ASAP for the right fit

Schedule:

M-F: 9-3 PM

Benefits:

2 weeks PTO + 6 sick days + major holidays

Pay:
$30.00 per hour
