The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-3 will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on military tactical aircraft, specifically the UH-60, and their major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assembly and modification of assigned aircraft, including major assemblies, subassemblies, and components
- Install, connect, and adjust various systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission
- Incorporate authorized modifications and changes
- Perform operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and ground equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Direct lowergraded mechanics in the assembly, modification, and checkout of the entire aircraft
- Coordinate with other trades, such as electrical, avionics, and sheet metal, to ensure proper sequence of the assembly process
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience
- FAA A&P or FCC Elements 1 and 3 required
- FAA A&P required, with at least 2 years of aviation maintenance experience and 2 years on the UH60
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance and US Citizenship is required
- Interim NACI approval
