As part of a unique network system, Knappschaft Kliniken Solution GmbH supports the seven hospital networks in which the German Pension Insurance Knappschaft-Bahn-See (DRV KBS) holds at least 50 percent ownership.

The combined Knappschaft Kliniken network provides care for nearly patients annually, resulting in a turnover of more than one billion euros.

In addition to the Knappschaft Kliniken, the DRV KBS network also includes the Minijob-Zentrale, pension insurance, supplementary pension insurance, health and long-term care insurance KNAPPSCHAFT, the Seemannskasse, and its own medical competence network.


The goal of Knappschaft Kliniken Solution GmbH is to implement synergies in all Knappschaft Kliniken.

The bundling of expertise, targeted and solution-oriented use of resources, and the definition of common strategies are goals that are lived and pursued daily in the business areas of purchasing and logistics, information technology, marketing and communication, PflegeFlex, Servicecenter Personal, the service hotline for patients, and in the future also in the service center for finances.
