Industrial Hygiene AnalystI - Lake Zurich, IL:

  • Position offering up to $25.00 per hour based on experience.

ROLE:

  • Conduct analyses on samples and handle intricate sample preparation.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure precise and high-quality work.
  • Verify that all reported data meets quality control standards.
  • Validate data produced (Level I validation for which the analyst is trained and validated).
  • Comprehend and resolve analysis issues.
  • Provide feedback for corrective action processes.
  • Meet established deadlines.
  • Abide by Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
  • Uphold and conform to all Bureau Veritas policies, Quality System, and Health & Safety program.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of instruments and equipment.
  • Utilize summary reports for work planning and organization.
  • Follow all safety regulations in the laboratory.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area.
  • Contribute to daily and weekly scheduling.
  • Fulfill other duties as directed by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS
[Minimum Qualifications]:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology and up to one year of experience in an analytical food testing laboratory.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Strong record-keeping abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Provides timely outcomes and participates in occasional project assignments.
  • Proficient in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) accurately and instructions diligently.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, driven, optimistic, and proactive attitude.
[Preferred]:

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following laboratory techniques: Crude fat, Metals by flame AA, Protein by LECO.
