Our Childrens Therapy Coordinator supports the client experience, administrative coordination and is responsible for all aspects of scheduling therapeutic services for Speech, Occupational Therapy and Early Intervention Services.

This opportunity is located at our Redwood Shores location and is onsite

ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • Welcome families when at clinic sites to create a warm, supportive, and family friendly environment
  • Support the client experience of families and children to provide family centered services and ensure a positive experience starting with intake and throughout their enrollment in the Children's Therapy Services program
  • Manage the timely intake process and scheduling of therapy services as per AbilityPath's program model and attendance policies
  • Responsible for ensuring continuity of services as well as meeting therapists' 80% scheduling target by proactively rescheduling appointments for PTO and family cancellations.
  • Administer the service authorization process and responsible to schedule all approved authorized services to maximize utilization targets and billing efforts
  • Responsible for the complete, timely and accurate input of data and uploading of files for client and payer source information to be able to schedule services, maximize service delivery, and ensure billing is accurate
  • Support the updating of therapist credentials in database to meet compliance requirements as needed
  • Administer appointment conversions and billing in partnership with Accounting Department and provide support to address and solve billing issues
  • Participate in regular internal audits to ensure administrative processes are supporting data integrity, administrative efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and payer source requirements
  • Follow clinical recommendations by therapists and collaborate with clinical team to support scheduling of recommended services
  • Provide backup coverage for CTS Coordinator as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field preferred
  • Three to five (35) years of experience in applicable field preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:


  • Valid California Driver's License/ID
  • Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of occupational physical clearance
  • Complete a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
