Your Role:

As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for the development of machine learning solutions.
This includes developing and optimizing algorithms and AI software components, as well as integrating them into digital products.
You will also be responsible for testing these components and documenting their performance.
Your role will also involve presenting and explaining the results in a userfriendly manner, and calculating the success and profitability of the new components.
You will guide software developers and system integrators in setting up data acquisition, training, and processing processes for the final product.
You will also support the ideation process for the digital roadmap, with a focus on artificial intelligence.
You will conduct research on new methods in the field of AI and collaborate with internal and external experts.
You will also participate in scientific forums and conferences.
Additionally, you will be involved in examining and generating patents related to AI for ZEISS.
You will actively share your knowledge through mentoring, technical talks, and guidance.

Profile:

You have an excellent university degree (PhD is a plus) in natural science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
You have at least 3 years of professional experience in data modeling, algorithm development, or data science.
You also have at least 2 years of experience in team leadership or program management.
You have a deep understanding of data analytics and machine learning, as well as their underlying algorithms.
