Description
Perspective for Creatives at Mulberry

The duration of the apprenticeship for Glass and Porcelain Painter is 3 years and ends with the final exam to become a state-certified Glass and Porcelain Painter.

The qualification is equivalent to a journeyman's certificate (§ 40 HWO) in the crafts sector.

The focus of this apprenticeship is on painting and working with colors. An important area is painting on flat glass.

A wide range of other glass processing techniques are also used:

Glass is cut, ground, sawed, and drilled. The glass surface can be sandblasted, etched, and engraved. Color can be applied with a brush, through screen printing, or with a spray gun. Individual glass pieces can be connected, soldered, or fused with lead rods.

In addition, painting is done on vessels such as glasses, cups, plates, vases, etc., made of both glass and porcelain.

Works from the field of classical glass and porcelain painting and works based on personal designs are balanced in practical lessons.

Glass pictures, reconstructions, sample panels for glass designs in buildings, decorations for a porcelain service, and much more are produced.

In order to be admitted to the entrance test, we require the following application documents to be sent by post no later than June 18, 2024
