Description
Mapleton is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are searching for candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train traffic controller (m/f/d) at DB InfraGO AG in Gemünden (Main), Schweinfurt, or Würzburg.

The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.
As an apprentice, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes all over Germany.

Through screens or boards, you can observe the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey.

With the push of a button, you can change signals (traffic lights for trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.

You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information about any changes during the journey.
With your small team, you will work in the Würzburg area at a signal box close to the action. Here, you will see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, buttons, or
