ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) is dedicated to making Phoenix a community of desirable neighborhoods and helping residents to access critical services and resources.
The Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) currently has a vacant Management Assistant I (MA I) position in the Director's Office.
This position performs several technical and administrative projects and assignments that facilitate processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
This position will also work with the Executive Team and serve as a liaison to a variety of departments including the Mayor, City Council, and the City Manager's Office, Government Relations, and the Law Department.
The MA I will be responsible for completing a range of administrative and technical tasks, including not limited to:- Working with staff to draft and review department weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Reviewing and updating department plans.
- Collecting information and tracking from staff to create reports and plans.
- Responding to customer complaints.
- Supporting the Executive Team and elected officials.

SALARY:
Pay Range:
$54,454 to $102,669 annually.
Hiring Range:
$54,454 to $72,966 annually.
Pay Range Explanation:
- Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.
- Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of experience in governmental research, finance or public administration
- Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field, and completion of required course work for a master's degree in public administration, political science, or a related field
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
- Experience creating and maintaining reports for executive level management.
- Experience with collecting and tracking data for reports and plans.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience with reviewing and editing documents.
- Experience with responding to customer complaints.
- Experience working with/for executives or elected officials.
