Description Telephone Operator-Telephone Operators-Mount Sinai Beth Israel-Full Time, 3pm to 11pm, EOW**Under general supervision, receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the Mount Sinai Medical Center, which includes paging physicians and other Medical Center employees. Handles emergencies such as Team 7000 (Cardiac Arrest) crisis team, and emergency preparedness notification. Provides directory information to inquiries and transfers calls as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Operate switchboard and route incoming calls to appropriate departments.
- Initiates all emergency calls including Team 7000, Fire Alert and Message One Notifications.
- Provides specific directory information to internal and external inquiries as required in accordance with policy and procedures pertaining to the disclosure of directory information.
- Operation of the page position. Including completion of Evening/Weekend On-Call Physician Sign-In form.
- Performs other related duties.
