    GILEAD - Program Manager-Farrell

    Summary

    The Program Manager serves as the team leader of the residential program through supervision and oversight of the Recovery Care Manager staff. The Program Manager works in close consultation with the Program Director and Clinical Department Director to ensure that the program produces high quality, recovery-oriented services to all clients, in accordance with agency standards. Schedule would be Monday through Friday 8a-4p, some evenings and weekends required each month.

    Education and Years of Experience

  • Degree: Bachelors Degree in Human Services Field Required. Masters Degree Preferred.
  • Number of Years of Experience: Masters Degree and 2 years or Bachelors Degree and 10 years of experience required.
  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical knowledge regarding substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric issues.
  • Provides required weekly supervision to the RCM staff in both individual and group formats.
  • Provides training and orientation to new RCM staff.
  • Assists the Nurse Supervisor in providing training to the RCM's in the medication policies and procedures, and self -administration of medications practices.
  • Supports the Residential Program Director in leading an effective program by implementing clinical services, best practice models of care and daily functions as required by contractual and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensures, along with the RCM's that the program's physical environment meets required regulations including a clean, safe, and home-like atmosphere.
  • Supports the processes for all contractual agreements and licensing regulations including but not limited to Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Department of Public Health (DPH) and CARF.
  • Maintains and implements Recovery philosophies with direct implications to staff, clients, family, and community development.
  • Applies clinical knowledge by assisting with timely admissions, continued services, and discharge processes for the program.
  • Participates in and facilitates program meetings, clinical meetings and ad hoc work groups in effort to carry out the mission of the program within and outside of the organization.
  • Implements and provides feedback to improve policies and procedures for programming.
  • Consults with the Residential Program Director and Clinical Department Director regarding medical and mental health needs regarding risk management.
  • Seeks out opportunities to advance personal knowledge of treatment trends that may positively impact the services provided by the organization.
  • Responds to after-hours calls as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains sound employee relationships, effective work environment conducive to job satisfaction within the program.
  • Facilitates new staff Program specific orientation and training.
  • Provides staffing support in conjunction with the Program Director.
  • Provides weekly individual and group supervision as required.

    Requirements

  • Prior administrative and clinical experience in the field of mental health and addictions.
  • Ability to effectively interface with a variety of collaborative contacts and referral sources, including agency administrators, Psychiatrists, Social Workers and other staff.
  • Ability to manage under stressful or crisis situations. Ability to problem solve. Ability to meet deadlines and establish and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to travel to various agencies, businesses, and meet with clients in their homes, if needed.
  • Able to work flexible hours when necessary.
  • Must meet and maintain all required trainings, certifications etc. as needed.
  • Demonstration of ethical behavior and sound judgment that supports the NASW standards of care.
  • Uphold confidentiality by following the HIPAA regulations.
  • Use of personal vehicle.
  • Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing.
  • Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are based both in office and community settings.

  • Possibility of exposure to outdoor weather conditions, unsanitary environments.
  • Possibility of exposure to use of substances, vulgar statements, or hostile/dangerous situations.
