Job Summary:

The RN in the Neurotrauma Surgical ICU will be responsible for providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients who have undergone neurosurgery for traumatic injuries.

This role requires critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assessing and monitoring patients postneurosurgery to ensure optimal recovery
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid RN license in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a neurotrauma surgical ICU
BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Knowledge of neurosurgical procedures and postoperative care
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound clinical judgments
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
