The Clinic for Geriatrics and Elderly Traumatology at St. Josef Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Oliver Freitag, ensures comprehensive medical care for older and elderly people in the region.

The clinic offers interdisciplinary collaboration with cooperating departments to provide the full spectrum of internal and neurological diagnostics and therapy, including early rehabilitation for geriatric patients.

The department's clinical focuses are Elderly Traumatology and Neurogeriatrics.

In a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers, we work together to meet the specific needs of older patients.

Recognizing the complex relationships between multimorbidity, polypharmacy, physiological aging processes, social components, and limitations of therapeutic interventions is essential to our treatment concept.

In addition, we offer palliative care for terminally ill patients, focusing on symptom control and support.
