Junior Buyer Food (m/w/d)

Introduction:

Is operational purchasing of food your thing? Then you'll love this job. Together, we bring product ideas to life, keep an eye on the latest food trends, and maintain not only our assortment, but also our business relationships with our suppliers. In close collaboration with your team, you'll negotiate and try out new products. You'll also savor our working conditions, as teamwork, communication at eye level, and a lot of personal responsibility are the main ingredients of our team's success.

Your tasks:

Responsibility for individual items from a food product group, from the initial idea to the finished product on the shelves of our stores
Conducting negotiations and annual discussions with international suppliers
Optimizing the assortment by participating in tastings
Trend scouting to identify new product innovations and ensure the future viability of Lidl's assortment
Ensuring the supply chain by consolidating information from areas such as supply chain management, quality assurance, marketing, CSR, etc.

Your profile:

Completed studies, preferably with a focus on business administration, trade, purchasing, sales, or a comparable education as a specialist or business administrator
Affinity for products in the food sector
