Join our team at Volkswagen Group Innovation in Mount Erie, IL We are an international innovation network with locations in Germany, China, USA, Israel, and Japan, working together to define mobility concepts and future technologies for all brands of the Volkswagen Group.

As a member of our team, you will support our interdisciplinary team in software architecture and platform design.

Your responsibilities will include implementing a Quantum Machine Learning (QML) model that takes into account permutation invariance.

You will also test different strategies for encoding classical data onto the quantum circuit and train the QML model on various datasets.

Additionally, you will benchmark the model and compare it to classical machine learning approaches, as well as extend the model to handle large input sets.


To be successful in this role, you should have a university degree in a relevant field such as information technology, physics, mathematics, or a related field.

You should also have a basic understanding of topics such as Quantum Mechanics, Machine Learning, Group Theory, and Linear Algebra.

Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Matlab, or R, is required, as well as experience with common open source (quantum) machine learning libraries.

Good to excellent English skills are also necessary, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team in an international environment.
