Description

As an internationally operating group with around 750 employees, we specialize in recycling steel scrap and non-ferrous metals into reusable raw materials, making a valuable contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Technical Manager (m/f/d) for our branch in Cabo Rojo.

Your responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for maintenance, workshop, and infrastructure
Ensuring cross-shift troubleshooting of technical systems and equipment
Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining production facilities, fleet, and infrastructure of the branch
Developing and adhering to maintenance and repair plans/budgets
Conducting projects (weak point analysis, concept development, etc.) to improve and optimize equipment and process availability
Ensuring compliance with internal and general safety regulations
Managing employees, including scheduling and vacation planning

Your qualifications:

Degree in engineering or a technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field
Experience in technical project management
Technical understanding and quick comprehension
Teamwork and good communication and presentation skills for complex matters
Strong analytical skills and a structured and independent working
