- Perform initial intake of clients to gather vocational/educational background information and identify their needs. Develop a plan to address these needs.
- Conduct comprehensive educational/vocational assessments to determine clients' capabilities and develop a rehabilitation plan with achievable goals.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help clients make informed vocational decisions and progress towards their goals.
- Collaborate with the treatment team and participate in various meetings and workshops.
- Offer training in employability, personal development, and life skills to clients.
- Establish connections with community resources for education, employment, and support services.
- Refer clients to suitable vocational/educational service providers in the community.
- Provide ongoing support to clients who are employed or undergoing educational/training activities.
- Train treatment program staff in vocational rehabilitation principles and practices.
- Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and prepare necessary reports.

We are hiring for a Full-Time Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist!
BASIC FUNCTION: Assist staff and individuals in creating and executing a comprehensive program of vocational rehabilitation services to help individuals engage in employment, skills training, or educational activities. Coordinate pre-vocational and vocational activities to support individuals in reaching their vocational rehabilitation goals. Make sure individuals access needed vocational services in the community through established connections with vocational/educational service providers in the area.
MAJOR DUTIES:
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
COMPENSATION: $51,000 per year
LOCATION: New York, NY

REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- MA in Vocational Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related fields with experience
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field with relevant experience
- Rehabilitation Counseling Masters Degree student in designated work-study projects
