This role is based in New York City. We work together in person three days a week.

The Role

Firsthand is looking for an outstanding product designer who will be responsible for researching, designing, and prototyping new user experiences that satisfy the needs of the broad set of users interacting with our cutting-edge technology.

This role will be an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional leaders, particularly in Product Management and Engineering, to deliver novel design experiences tailored for the AI landscape.

Responsibilities

Construct detailed interaction and design specs using a blend of interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills
Bring designs from conceptualization, through iteration, to implementation, ensuring design consistency across assets and products
Produce datainformed designs that account for business needs and technical requirements
Navigate through ambiguity and change to collaboratively drive alignment and prioritization with crossfunctional teammates

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in digital product design, with 3+ years working on solutions that include complex technologies
Strong foundation in design principles, proficient at extending design patterns across products in a creative and resourceful manner with an attention to detail
Problem solver with the ability to create simple and intuitive user experiences from complex workflows
Excellent communicator able to influence decisionmaking within crossfunctional teams

Compensation Range:
$130K - $200K
