Library Employee (m/f/d) in Lending Services:

  • Full-time (100%)
  • The University Library Mainz is the central information service provider for students and researchers at JGU. It provides them with literature and information according to their needs and offers modern learning and communication spaces.

Your tasks:


  • Conducting and processing all lending transactions, including user management and fines (issuing, returning, reservations, renewals, reminder and debt management)
  • Deputy management of the lending department (supporting the department head in their absence and making decisions on special cases in the absence of the head)
  • Providing and recording media for interlibrary loan
  • Participation in the information service
  • Setting up semester collections
  • Participation in the futureoriented and customeroriented design of services in a heavily used university library

Your profile:


  • Completed vocational training as a specialist for media and information services or equivalent knowledge and professional experience in a library
