Description

Long Island shop that specializes in welding, marine products, office furniture products and installation seeking experienced office furniture installer or full-time work, who can pull product for jobs and deliver and install said furniture to the NYC area.

As a Furniture Installer, you will be responsible for assembling and installing furniture for residential and commercial clients. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities include.

  • Arrive at the job site ahead of scheduled time with all necessary tools/equipment.
  • Unload product from trucks and stage as required. Load and secure product on trucks as required.
  • Receive and inspect product for damage and quality prior to installation and/or delivery.
  • Install product in accordance with plans and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Review installation plans with senior installation personnel as required.
  • Communicate frequently with project managers on project status (start of day, and end of day, minimum) and with client, before arrival and at end of job.
  • Pull required components for project, clean and refurbish and prep for delivery.
  • Refacing tiles and panels with new fabrics
  • Assisting with metalwork and marine electronic work when need arises.
  • Driving truck to jobsites and assisting onsite with installations
  • Maintaining and cleaning office, shop and company vehicles
  • Completing whatever other task that is requested of you.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a Furniture Installer or similar role preferred.
  • Fully stocked toolbox with the appropriate tools at all times.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture assembly techniques and tools
  • Ability to present self in company uniform and in a neat, professional manner at all times.
  • Working cellular phone for job info and pictures
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints.
  • Ability to work overtime including evenings and weekends.
  • A Valid NYS license with mínimal points required for this job as you will be driving a company truck and it's required for insurance.
  • You must be fluent in English and literate to a high school graduate level.
  • Transportation to commute to/from and between installation sites in Tristate area.
  • Experience with driving box trucks for company.

  • Overtime is required when needed as is traveling to Manhattan.
Preferred skills

  • Experience driving box trucks in NYC.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Computer literacy
  • Driving
  • Warehousing experience
  • Carpentry experience
- fluent in Word and Excel.

$27.00 per hour
