What will you learn in your apprenticeship at Hoover?

  • You will gain insights into the production processes
  • You will learn how to apply various functional coatings to metallic base materials to optimize their surface properties
  • You will test chemicals, prepare electrolytes, and monitor galvanic metal depositions
  • You will learn how to apply metals and non-metals through chemical and electrolytic methods
  • You will assist in the pre- and post-treatment of uncoated and coated surfaces
  • You will gain knowledge about our different surface coating procedures and techniques
What do you need to bring?

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a good overall grade
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics
  • Basic understanding of chemistry and physics
  • Manual dexterity
  • Reliability and ability to work in a team
  • Enjoyment of regularly learning about new work areas
What else do you need to know?

  • Your apprenticeship will last for 3 years
  • The theoretical training will take place in block modules (blocks of 23 weeks) and you will be accommodated in a company dormitory at no cost
  • After your apprenticeship, you can expect numerous opportunities for further training and development, such as becoming a technician or master craftsman
