Your Impact:

The primary purpose of your job position is to receive supplies from outside vendors and to inventory those items. Responsible to check incoming items against purchase orders for accuracy. Receives daily deliveries according to inventory/order print out and bills of lading. Checks all items for accuracy by weight, count, grade, brand, size, and expiration date. Date all items received and stores rapidly according to perishability or condition received e.g. frozen and refrigerated first. Ensure delivery of supplies and shipments to appropriate areas within Dining Services. Performs daily and weekly cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, storeroom, rolling stock.

Monitors appropriate levels of supplies and communicates shortages and "out of stock" to Kitchen Manager and or Dining Services Management team.


This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person assigned to this position.

Assists with the management of the resident menus in the diet office. Assuring that special diet menu requests are entered into the nutrition software system. All supplementary feedings requested are deliver to the neighborhoods.


What You'll Do:


  • Operates all material handling equipment including flat trucks and pallet movers
  • Receives shipment and supplies from outside vendors and checks against purchase order for accuracy
  • Delivers supplies and shipments to appropriate area within the department
  • Receives and checks all incoming chemicals for proper labeling; adheres to MSDS protocols
  • Upon delivery of shipments or supplies signed packing slip and submitted to Dining Office for processing
  • UPS shipments are unpacked and placed in their appropriate location within the department
  • Knowledge and ability to perform diet office routine using Vision Software
  • Log all menu selections in Vision computer program.
  • Print patient tray tickets and count/verify/ assure/ assure satisfaction.
  • Ability to process diet changes properly in all areas and all diets.
  • Be aware of responsibilities of food production, service, and delivery

What We're Looking for:


  • High school education or GED required
  • Must have or obtain ServSafe Certification
  • Must have oneyear experience as a Warehouse employee
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Must have proficient math skills
  • Must possess basic computers skills including Microsoft outlook, excel and the internet
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies /personnel and the general public
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday

Pay Rate for this Role:
$15-$17/ hour
