SUMMARY


This position includes working under the supervision of the Human Resources Director and/or Manager, assisting with identifying, developing, assigning, implementing, and conducting a variety of training curriculum and programs.

This position entails a combination of public relations and administrative functions, which must be performed with efficiency, diplomacy, confidentiality, and a consistently positive attitude.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ASSIGNED:


  • Works with senior management to assess teams previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training. Establish best practices and identify programs to remove barriers that affect staff retention and advancement.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing Casino specific training.
  • Train new and current team members on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
  • Manages multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Prepares reports, speaks, and writes effectively.
  • Develops and produces training materials.
  • Recommend and research methods and resources for training.
  • Implements training course modules as assigned for team members and management, including presentation and facilitation of training programs and activities.
  • Coordinate the design of and engages in platform training and direct development of online training programs.
  • Create training schedules for all company departments, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the company.
  • Develops coaching strategies to progress team members leadership, career, and customer service skills.
  • Present information with a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
  • Maintain knowledge of all training and development programs, materials, and courses provided to team members by participating all available training opportunities.
  • Work under minimum direction.
  • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for covering various duties of other Human Resource staff.
  • Develops and participates in special projects, and completes other duties as requested and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to multi-task while performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above and below are representative of the knowledge and/or ability required. Must pass initial drug screening, background investigation, random drug tests and credit check.

  • Proficient in effective training and development techniques and initiatives.
  • Excellent communicator; strong command of verbal and written communications with respect to standard communication platforms and professional formats.
  • Sound Critical Thinking skills: ability to analyze facts and data, weigh options and use sound judgement in executing solutions that are in the best interest of the operation and GCCR at large.
  • Strong timemanagement and organizational skills. Must possess the ability to work on multiple projects under the pressure of competing deadlines; with the ability to take initiative and be a selfstarter.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and related software; including but not limited to, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, customers, and team members effectively and courteously.


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; associates of arts degree in business administration or related field preferred. Human Resource and/or training and development related experience and/or or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
