Patient Access Coordinator
Location:17 Main St, Winthrop Neighborhood Health, Winthrop, MA
Hours per Day:8Hours
per Week: 40
Job description
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required.
- Requires at least two years of relevant experience, preferably in admitting, medical office, managed care, insurance, or customer service environment.
- Work requires the ability to effectively speak, read, and write English. Multilingual skills (beyond that of English) are a plus.
- Ability to accurately interpret and utilize medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Ability to access and enter computerized data/information.
- Ability to use and troubleshoot basic office equipment.
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with nursing staff, patients, families/visitors, physicians, and other hospital staff in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Demonstrated competence in basic computer skills.
- Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.
- Requires the ability to multitask and manage complex processes.
- Requires the ability to make independent decisions under pressure.
- Requires judgment, diplomacy, collaboration, partnering, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Job Type:

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 5x Day shift
- Monday to Friday
