The
Aircraft Mechanic (AH-64 Armament Specialty) is responsible for troubleshooting any malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.

This position is located in Georgetown, PA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks on military tactical aircraft, with a focus on AH64D/E models.
  • Repair and modify various Army and other DoD crossservice aircraft, including major assemblies, subassemblies, components, and related systems.
  • Install, connect, and adjust complete systems such as fuel, heat, lubrication, hydraulic, engine, and transmission.
  • Align and install fuselage parts, tail rotor assemblies, and flight control systems.
  • Incorporate authorized modifications and changes.
  • Conduct operational checks of hydraulic and fuel systems using external power sources and ground equipment.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot to identify the cause of malfunctions, and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, measuring devices, and test equipment specific to the aircraft models.
  • Determine when faulty systems or assemblies can be repaired or require replacement.
  • Direct lowergraded mechanics in the assembly, modification, and checkout of entire aircraft.
  • Coordinate with other trades, such as general mechanics and sheet metal workers, to ensure proper sequence of aircraft assembly.
  • Maintain accurate records and forms related to aircraft maintenance.
