As a Kfz-Mechatroniker/-in (m/f/d) for passenger car technology, you analyze electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, such as brake and steering assistants, automatic transmissions, and engine management components. You identify errors and malfunctions, fix the causes, and perform maintenance work. The replacement of components and accident repairs are also part of the job.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You diagnose interconnected systems and replace defective parts. You equip cars with trailer hitches, air conditioning systems, or navigation systems. In the workshop, you thoroughly check vehicles in all work steps. When you test and repair brakes and anti-lock braking systems, you carry a lot of responsibility.
