What to expect
  • In addition to extensive medical knowledge, as an OTA trainee you will also gain technical skills related to the operating room and be prepared for your job as an Operating Theatre Assistant
  • During your three-year training, you will learn how to care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • You will learn how to prepare an operating room, assist the medical staff, and gain insights into the work processes and coordination, organization, and documentation of the operating room
  • You will discover a wide range of specialties and have the opportunity to complete practical placements in different clinics and departments
  • You will be an important part of the operating room or anesthesia team and will be accompanied by regular practical training and well prepared for your final exam
What you bring
  • You have a secondary school leaving certificate or high school diploma, or a vocational training of at least two years, e.g. as a nursing assistant (m/f/d)
  • You are characterized by a strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and teamwork
