The East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg (OTH Regensburg) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Bavaria with over 10,000 students, 230 professors, and more than 700 employees.

OTH Regensburg is currently seeking a
Research Associate (m/f/d) - Energy System Modeling & Data Analysis to join the
"H2Global meets Africa" project at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks:

Participation in the "H2Global meets Africa" project
Energy system modeling and analysis
Development of optimization models in Python (and other programming languages)
Data analysis using Python and workflow systems (Snakemake)
Maintenance of scripts and code review using GIT
Internal exchange with project partners and preparation and execution of workshops

Your profile:

Completed university degree in a Master's program (university of applied sciences or university) or a diploma program (university) in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, or a related field with a focus on energy supply and infrastructure
Experience in working on publicly funded research projects in the application and implementation phase is desirable
Motivation and enjoyment in networking with various interest groups
Programming experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages
Experience with workflow management systems and version control is desirable
Willingness to travel and attend conferences within Germany
