As a research institution of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, we conduct research, testing and consulting to protect people, the environment and material goods.

Your tasks:


As part of the joint project "ReNew" in the field of offshore wind energy, you will work in cooperation with partners from the industry.

Your task is to evaluate the influence of welding production on the fatigue behavior of large-scale steel structures.

This includes developing an interface between the process-dependent local mechanical and technological properties of the weld and the fatigue behavior, taking into account fracture mechanics.

The work also involves the automated welding production of prototype components and the recording of relevant process characteristics and their influence on the component properties.
