The German Cancer Research Center is the largest biomedical research center in Germany. With over 3,000 employees, we conduct an extensive scientific program in the field of cancer research.

The German Cancer Research Center is currently seeking a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) with a focus on ethical and legal issues related to the medical application of artificial intelligence for the "AI Health Innovation Cluster" at the earliest possible date.

(Reference number ) The cluster brings together the excellence and expertise of several renowned research and healthcare institutions in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The DKFZ, EMBL, Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, Heidelberg University, Heidelberg and Mannheim University Hospitals, and the Central Institute of Mental Health have joined forces to promote cutting-edge research for AI applications in medicine and health. This involves systematically linking biomedical data with AI approaches to develop innovative applications in the healthcare sector.

The DKFZ coordinates the interdisciplinary "AI Health Innovation Cluster", which is part of the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim and is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg.
