Line Cook

Key Responsibilities:

Setting up and Stocking Food Stations: Organize and stock food stations with essential supplies, ingredients, and equipment for efficient menu preparation.
Food Preparation: Assist in preparing all necessary food items for service, including ingredient prep, portioning, and ensuring everything is ready to go.
Menu Execution: Work closely with the kitchen team to guarantee accurate execution of menu items, manage timing, and uphold consistency and quality during food preparation.
Efficient and High-Quality Food Production: Ensure timely food preparation to meet service requirements while upholding high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and consistency.
Nutrition and Sanitation Compliance: Ensure all food prep and handling align with nutrition and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and adherence to food safety measures.

Essential Physical Requirements:

Adapting to Hot and Cold Conditions: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions while preparing food, handling hot stoves, ovens, grills, and refrigeration units for cold storage.
Physical Movements: Perform tasks like reaching for ingredients, bending, lifting heavy items, and carrying trays, common activities in a kitchen setting.
Standing and Remaining Active: Capable of standing and being on your feet for most of your shift to effectively oversee kitchen operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Comprehensive Understanding of Menu Items: Strong knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, flavors, and presentation standards.
Ingredient Preparation: Skilled in prepping ingredients with proper cutting techniques, seasoning, and portioning.
Cooking Methods Mastery: Proficient in various cooking techniques like grilling, sautéing, braising, baking, and familiar with different foods and kitchen equipment.
Efficient Multitasking in a Busy Kitchen: Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize activities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Industry Experience: Ideally, at least 2 years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality sector.
Culinary Education: Completion of culinary school or relevant culinary education is a bonus and can elevate your suitability for this position.
