    Job Overview:
    • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week –
      • Mon, Wed, Thurs & Friday from 10am - 6pm
      • Tues from 11am -7pm
    • Location: Fully onsite in the Lower East Side
    • Pay: $70,000 annual salary + clinician supervision + benefits package
    Job Summary

    As our community resource advocate, you will play a key role in integrating and promoting a holistic approach to services for participants of our employment services program. In this new role, you will be involved in providing therapeutic interventions to our employment services participants who are ultimately working on education and employment goals. Reporting to the clinical wellness coordinator and working closely with the employment coordinators, education specialists, and program leadership across our 2 employment services sites (Workforce Development Center & Jobs Plus), you will join a team focused on close collaboration and intentional practices for holistic and trauma informed care.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide short -term, long-term and/or crisis counseling mental health services to members of the employment services programs.
    • Work with clients, members, and participants across our 2 employment services sites (Workforce Development Center & Jobs Plus Program)
    • Use validated tools to screen, assess and prepare treatment plans.
    • Provide, research, or arrange for support services, such as childcare, homemaker service, prenatal care, substance abuse treatment, or parenting classes.
    • Provide referrals to other Henry Street departments and/ or outside agencies when appropriate.
    • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations
    • Document case progress notes in a timely manner and update regularly utilizing required databases.
    • Provide clients/collaborate with Clinical Wellness Coordinator to provide written advocacy letters or referrals to food pantries and other community providers when needed.
    • Present and discuss client cases during supervisory review and weekly case review team conferences; participate in staff meetings.
    • Additional duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
    Qualifications:
    • Master of Social Work/Master of Mental Health Counseling required
    • Current NYS LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW required
    • Must have at least 3-5 years of clinical practice experience with working knowledge of trauma informed care, substance abuse treatment, and crisis interventions.
    • Ability to establish strong, positive therapeutic relationships with low income, high barriers to employment population.
    • Excellent documentation, and communication skills.
    • Client focused, solution-oriented, collaborative and takes initiative.
    • Ability to form and maintain long lasting meaningful bonds with clients.
    Essential Physical Job Functions:
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time during workshops
    • Able to travel to various programs throughout the five boroughs.
    • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
    • Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side
