What to expect

In the dual study program in geoinformatics/surveying technology at our Neuhof-Ellers location, starting as soon as possible:

  • You will first complete a paid internship in the surveying department at the Neuhof-Ellers plant to familiarize yourself with the profession and our specialized surveying departments before starting the next winter semester.
  • Afterwards, you will attend 7 semesters at the university (in Dessau or Würzburg) and apply what you have learned directly in your practical phases during the semester breaks at the Neuhof-Ellers plant.
  • You will learn how to conduct surveying work above and below ground, evaluate raw data, input it into modern geo-information systems, and create maps of mine workings, factories, and dumps.
  • You will document the geology and exploration underground and be responsible for planning our dumps.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or technical diploma with very good/good grades, or a technical apprenticeship is desirable.
  • Interest in geography, mathematics/physics, and computer science.
  • Good spatial thinking skills, technical understanding, and quick comprehension.
  • Thorough and precise work ethic.
