Condominium Association Doorman

Currently hiring for one (1) position

Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00PM-7:00AM
The Doorman is the face of property and sets the tone for the resident and guest experience. This is a people oriented position with a high degree of public interaction. They will report directly to the property manager and property supervisor.


The Doorman's duties may include:

  • Assist residents in entering/leaving building
  • Supervise/control deliveries and moving
  • Announce guests
  • Secure cabs
  • Answer resident/guest questions
  • Monitor cameras
  • Secure/lock entrance doors
  • Act as security guard
  • Answer telephone after office hours and respond to resident requests or emergencies per building policies.

Specific Duties for Move Ins/Move Outs:

  • Observe moves
  • Pay attention to those coming and going into and out of the building
  • Check hallways and freight elevator prior to and after moves to confirm condition.
  • Be alert at all times.
  • Assist with traffic management in the service drives while moves are in progress

Experience Requirements: 6 months previous high rise doorman experience, security guard or customer service experience.


Position Requirements:


  • Wear uniform, as directed and provided by building
  • Be capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs in suit cases, or deliveries
  • Obtain the Fire Safety Director certification from the City of Chicago
  • Ability to read, write, speak & understand English language
  • Excellent customer service skills

Pay:
$20.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
