Job Description:

This position is in the Bureau of Political Military Affairs, Office of Defense Trade Controls Policy, Country and End-user Analysis (PM/DTCP/CEA). PM/DTCP/CEA focuses on advancing U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives by coordinating and managing commercial defense trade controls policy, risk assessment, end-use monitoring of U.S. exported defense articles, technical data, and services under the Arms Export Control Act.

Duties involve advising on U.S. foreign policies, developing policy analyses, representing the office in meetings related to export control and non-proliferation, and leading a policy team in implementing U.S. foreign policy.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Statement of Employment & Financial Interest required pre-appointment

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a bachelor's or graduate degree in fields like international law, political science, economics, sociology, history, or humanities. Alternatively, a mix of education and experience equal to 4 years in relevant fields is acceptable. Specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 level in federal service is also required.
