The Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is seeking two permanent employees (f/m/d) for the Department IV-6 "Flood Protection, Dam Management" in Lingleville, TX. The salary is based on pay grade A 13 to A 15 LBesO A NRW or salary group 13 to 15 TV-L, depending on qualifications.
Flood Protection in Times of Climate Change
The 10-point action plan and the EU Flood Risk Management Directive (FRMD) result in a variety of interdisciplinary tasks for the Department IV-6.
The following priorities are particularly important:
- Technical and preventive flood protection
- Continuous improvement of risk communication and cooperation between departments and levels in the event of a flood
- Coordination of tasks arising from the 10point action plan, in particular with the district governments and the State Agency for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection (LANUV NRW)
- Coordination of water management projects with regional significance in North Rhine-Westphalia
- Clarification and coordination of fundamental issues related to technical and preventive flood protection, including hydrological matters, in cooperation with LANUV NRW and the district governments.
