In our team, we define the architecture and solutions, develop software components and tools for ECUs to secure the future platforms for vehicles of the VW Group.

What to expect

  • You will work on-site at our locations in Ingolstadt, Berlin, or Stuttgart as a pentester for automotive ECUs.
  • Targeted pentesting/security analysis of ECU features at all levels - e.g. secure boot, secure OS/TEE, secure protocol implementation, key management systems, methods for activating debug access, activating paid features, system architecture, etc.
  • Analysis, verification, and reproduction of security incidents.
  • Collaboration with ECU software developers to explain security issues and provide feedback on proposed solutions.
  • Supporting security testing by providing contributions to new features and developing regression tests.
  • Tech scouting and evaluation of new security software and hardware technologies.
  • Our holistic approach to addressing challenges:
    Reverse engineering, fuzzing (custom fuzzer development), PoC exploit development, source code review, hardware tampering, design reviews.
