The Omniseal Solutions division under the Mobility business is looking for an Engineering Technician to join the Saint-Gobain team.


The CNC Technician repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and equipment (CNC machines, lathes, presses), using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Starts devices to test their performance. Lubricates and cleans parts. May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Repairs electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Installs electrical services from sub panels or junction boxes to equipment.
  • Performs facility related repairs and maintenance to building electrical, plumbing and safety systems.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by the supervisor and maintenance Lead

(2) AVAILABLE OPEN POSITIONS:

Schedule for Position 1:
[4 Days/10hrs] 5:00am - 3:30pm

Schedule for Position 2:
[4 Days/10hrs] 9:00am - 7:30pm


Requirements:


  • HS Diploma or GED (required)
  • 2year technical training in electronics or equivalent
  • 7 years of Experience in the repair and installation of CNCs, preferably on all, some, or one of the following: Mazaks, DMG Mori's, Citizens CNCs, Leifeld, or Hitachi-Seiki's
  • Experience in Electrical Troubleshooting of CNCs, Presses, Industrial Ovens.
  • Mechanical aptitude and advanced skills with a minimum of 5 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, CNC repair and/or PLC programming
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, operations manuals, and manufacturing instructions
  • Forklift certified

Additional Requirements

  • 52wks)) for this position, is
    $71,800 to $94,300. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]
