The Social Service Center (SSC) in Davis City combines various citizen-oriented services in an innovative building with a representative entrance area and modernly equipped office spaces.

The Emergency Housing Department consists of 2 divisions and offers support and advice in case of impending loss of housing and homelessness. The department provides a specialized range of services with four areas of responsibility:
Housing security, public-law accommodation of homeless people in shelters, housing placement, social management, i.e. referral to further assistance.
