- Train individual Package handlers, Quality Control, Receivers, and shippers on proper methods and operating procedures
- Set-up and organize assigned area to ensure effective operation.

- Work with the facility management to achieve quality and productivity goals.
- Manage the workflow to ensure the daily activities related to the assigned department are completed.
- Writing performance reviews and coaching employees to success
- Conducts daily shift start-up meetings discussing the previous day's performance, reviewing the expected workload for the day.
- Ensure a safe work environment by observing and coaching employees, addressing potential safety hazards, maintaining a clean work area, monitoring condition of all equipment and ordering repairs, and participating as a permanent member of the Safety Committee
- Responsible for the timely processing of all department activity including productivity, accuracy, and day end reports.
- Work closely with the Facility Manager to control costs in your operation - labor, supplies, and inventory shrinkage.
- Responsible for accurate employee records including daily time clock monitoring, discipline notification and attendance reports.
- Work with local Transportation both internal and external.
- Work with USPS on ensuring all product has moved daily without delays.
- Work with Finance on monthly Profit and Loss statements.
- 5 years managing salaried leaders with ownership over a team size of 100 hourly associates.
- Working knowledge in a parcel or fulfilment setting with exposure to cross docking, outbound and inbound operations.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of OSHA and Fire safety regulations to be able to drive as one of the focuses.
- Ability to drive accountability and development amongst team members.
- Flexible schedule depending on the operational needs including some
holidays, weekends, or mid shift - Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Computer skills (MS Word and Excel).
- Must be a team player with excellent people and organizational skills.
- Self-taught leader that values creativity and partnership amongst their peers.
- Experience managing personnel in a fast-paced multi-client small package pick/pack/ship environment.

We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager, 2nd Shift (Onsite in Canal Winchester, OH). We serve the Columbus, Ohio area. Your start time will be 4:00PM EST from Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.
The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $128,000, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
